Hindu College is among the most esteemed colleges of the country and affiliated under the University of Delhi. The college is highly acclaimed for its Science, Arts and Commerce faculties. Hindu College has been showing an infallible academic excellence over the past 122 years and is ranked 9th in NIRF All India Ranking 2021. India Today has ranked the college 1st in Science stream and 3rd in Arts stream. Established in 1899, Hindu College is considered as one of the oldest colleges in Delhi. Hindu college offers various UG, PG and Certificate programmes in multiple disciplines. Admission to UG courses is based on merit as per the Cut Off percentage decided by Delhi University. Initially the college was affiliated under the Punjab University, but later in 1922 it came under the affiliation of Delhi University. For admission purposes, Hindu College follows the guidelines as directed by the University of Delhi. UG admissions are granted on the basis of merit as per the DU cut off criteria. PG admissions are based on DU conducted entrance exam DUET. The college provides different scholarship programmes and financial assistance for meritorious and financially needy students. Disha and Abhyas are the 2 dedicated cells of the college wherein the former is responsible for promoting placement programmes and the latter is for internship programmes.
