Established on September 29, 1950, Government Medical College (GMC), Patiala is the second oldest college in the State of Punjab. The college’s mission is to be a globally acclaimed institution that is recognized for excellence in medical education, scientific research, and medical care. The college serves a population of 20 lakhs. The college also supports various kinds of research for new diseases. Government Medical College is affiliated to Baba Farid University of Medical Sciences.
