ABOUT US

Dharamjeevi is an Institute started by an Educational Trust by the same name established by Mr. Vijay Sabharwal, an eminent social worker from Kurukshetra. He has worked tirelessly for the development and improvement of the town, following in the traditions set by his father, Shri Dharambir Sabharwal,who was a great philanthropist and social worker from Kurukshetra, having moved with his family from the other side of the new Indian border during Partition. Vijay Sabharwal, an eminent journalist for the Times of India and the Hindustan Times, is a prominent reporter who is well-regarded for his balanced and incisive contributions to the papers. He has been honoured in the field of social work by various organizations, from time to time. He is an executive member of various cultural and social organizations, such as the Krishana Dham and the Hanuman Mandir. He is also the President of the Punjabi Welfare Sabha. Shri Sabharwal is a committed Arya Samaji, and currently holds the position of the President at the Ved Bhawan, where the Arya Samaj activities are conducted from time-to-time and high-profile orators of Arya Samaj are invited from different parts of the world. Shri Sabharwal currently holds the position of Secretary in the DAV Managing Committee, Delhi, as well as the Vice President of the Arya Pradeshik Pratinidhi Sabha, Delhi. In this capacity, he oversees the DAV Institutions in Haryana, in the capacity of Treasurer of LMC’s of various DAV Colleges, Chairman, DAV School, Kurukshetra, Chairman, DAV School, Narwana, Manager, DAV School, Kaithal, Vice-Chairman, DAV College, Karnal and DAV School, Panipat. He has had a long and fruitful linkage with academic initiatives in the region and the country. He is also a Member, Court and Academic Council of Kurukshetra University.
